Bio-Rad Laboratories has published a new tutorial, "2-D Electrophoresis for Proteomics: A Methods and Product Manual." Written for laboratories using 2-D electrophoresis for the separation of complex protein samples, the manual will be useful to those who may be new to the technique.
The 50-page guide describes a typical proteomics experiment and provides informationon tailoring the procedures for different applications. A methods section includes protocols and informationon how to optimize methods depending on sample requirements. The manual also includes a bibliography, a troubleshooting guide and a listing of Bio-Rad products for 2-D electrophoresis.
