- The ChemiGenius2 image analysis system from Syngene can now detect and analyze the sensitive fluorescent protein stains Deep Purple and Sypro Ruby. This will benefit users looking for an affordable way to automate gel-based proteomics studies, says the company. Both Deep Purple and Sypro Ruby are commonly detected with laser scanners, but these systems are expensive and many cannot detect traditional visible-light proteomic stains such as Coomassie Blue or Silver. more
