Methods development kit with multiple options

Beckman Coulter has launched the GenomeLab Methods Development Kit, which provides multiple chemistries for DNA sequencing on the company’s CEQ Series Genetic Analysis Systems. A complement to Beckman Coulter’s CEQ Quick Start and DTCS kits, the new kit contains a set of core reagents plus a choice of nucleotide mixtures: dITP for routine sequencing, and dGTP for sequencing through difficult G-C rich and polymerase hard stop regions. The dGTP chemistry is highly effective for those problematic templates where standard terminator kits produce data with early signal loss. The GenomeLab Methods Development Kit integrates with Beckman Coulter’s CEQ software, which provides a comprehensive suite of analysis tools for complex DNA research, including advanced data visualization, quality values and vector trimming, automated heterozygote detection and identification of changes or mutations in a sequence, points the company out.
