Superparamagnetic beads

Dynal Biotech has introduced a 1-µm version of its Dynabeads superparamagnetic beads. The new Dynabeads MyOne have 2.5 times the capacity of 2.8-µm beads, allowing 60 percent less beads to be used with no loss in performance. The 1-µm beads have very good dispersion properties and a slow sedimentation rate. In tests, antibody immobilisation was in the range of 60–95 percent.
