Microscopy software for IR and Raman

Omnic Atlµs 7 software for infrared and Raman microspectroscopy and imaging integrates data acquisition, spectral processing and image visualization in a single powerful package, according to developer Thermo Electron Corporation. The software automates the collection of spatially-resolved spectra from Thermo’s infrared and Raman microspectroscopy and imaging instruments. It creates vivid false-color images that allow chemical heterogeneity to be readily visualized and compared to visual features.

The new software supports Thermo’s new research-grade FT-IR microscope, the Nicolet Continuµm XL, which combines white-light microscopy with advanced imaging. Omnic Atlµs 7 incorporates a range of state-of-the-art features, including comprehensive 2D- and 3D-visualization capabilities; full automation for the collection of images, point, line, and area maps; fast processing of large images; new chemometric tools for image and data processing; and the ability to copy spectra and images into other Microsoft applications for reporting. Omnic Atlµs 7 is fully compatible with the Omnic software suite from Thermo.
