New organisation plan and new head of clinical trials

Based on the implementation of the Clinical trials directive in its national law (12th amendment of German drug law) BfArM has extended its deptartment for clinical trials auhorisation. New head of this department is since end 2004 Dr. Thomas Sudhop replacing Dr Frieder Hackenberger, who retires. Dr. Sudhop was Vice Med. Director of the dept. of clinical pharmacology of the university of Bonn, and is a member of the Ethics Commission of the NRW physicians chamber and President elect of the “Arbeitsgemeinschaft für angewandte Humanpharmakologie”.
