EAPB and AFI – Perugia Agreement

The Associazione Farmaceutici Industria (AFI) is an Italian association founded in 1960 with the aim to represent all the professionals working in different areas of pharmaceutical industry.

AFI promotes science in pharmacy, professional updating of its members and also organises symposia and courses. AFI and EAPB officially signed their cooperation agreement at the Annual Meeting of AFI in Perugia on 12 June 2003. Within this agreement AFI is the local representative of EAPB in Italy. The existing cooperation between the AFI biotech group and EAPB will be further intensified, e. g. by joint events between the two organisations. The agreement was signed by Prof. Rigamonti as President of AFI, Dr. Fabio Carli as Head of AFI biotech group and Prof. Rainer Müller as President of EAPB. As a result of the ongoing cooperation the congress “PharmaBioTec Europe” is scheduled to be held in Trieste 26-28 April 2004 (details: www.eapb.org).
